Similar to a Map Protractor. This is a Universal UTM Grid Scale Reader.  Like a Map Protractor, this clear plastic overlay helps to identify the Coordinates on Topographic Maps.  The Grid Scale Reader is for Maps in the 1:24000 Scale and 1:25000 Scale in the cutouts. and includes along the edge the measurements for 7 additional Topo Map Scales.  It allows for UTM measurements in Meters.
