This pair of 1970’s Imperial Guardian Lion Soapstone bookends are also referred to as “Lion Dogs” or “Foo Dogs”
The Imperial Guardian Lions were used as protection from harm
Each entire piece measures approximately 5”H
The base is approximately 3-1/4” Deep x 2”W x 1-3/4”H
Each Lion is approximately 3-1/2”H x 3”Deep x 1-3/8”W
The Lion Dogs are green and the base is dark green/black
The Male Lion is shown with a ball and the Female Lion is shown with a cub
The female bookend shows some white along base edges
This 1970’s set comes from original owner
