Overview of Alpinestars Youth Neck Support - 6540118-155
Specially designed for youth or smaller framed rider the Youth Neck Support functions when the helmet and support frame provide an alternative
load path for the excessive energy that compresses the neck. If the helmet is in contact with the neck support at the moment of impact the overall
load passing through the neck can be reduced, which may prevent a fracture from occurring and reduce the chance of muscular injuries from
extreme head movement. Although it is not possible to eliminate the risk of any form of injury, the support has been proven to help reduce the most
serious damage and minimize the risk of collateral injury as the impact load is channeled away from the neck.
•Designed and developed for a fit that is specific to a youth rider’s anatomy.
•Frame constructed from injected polymer compound that has been extensively impact
tested at performance on a range of off-road surface and varying temperatures.
•Frame has been ergonomically engineered to promote contact with the helmet during
impact – including rear support edge that fits closer to the body and raised chest to
avoid hyper-flexion injuries - thus providing a solid surface which instantly channels
damaging, compressive impact energy away from the neck and on to the support.
•Frame’s anatomical profile promotes positive helmet contact in event
of a crash while allowing rider freedom of movement.
•Rear stabilizer system helps keeps support in position and is also designed to channel extreme energy loads
away from the spine by transmitting it across the shoulder and helping to avoid serious spinal injury.
•Ultra-lightweight EVA foam on the support’s underside for comfort and positioning
and to distribute the impact force over the widest possible area.
•A new closure system for convenient engagement of support and
to facilitate quick removal in case of emergency.
•The support is supplied with the easy-to-use strap system which allows
use over or under the jersey to secure the device on the rider.
•The Youth Neck Support can be easily integrated with the A-5S Youth Body
Armour to ramp up a young rider’s overall protective coverage.
SHIPPING POLICY
We ship most orders from our store location in Washington state Monday-Friday. Tracking information will be input into your ebay order and emailed to you. If you do not receive a tracking number, please check your junk/spam folder prior to contacting us. All orders paid using PayPal will only be shipped to confirmed addresses as required by Paypal’s Protection Policies. In cases where multiple items are ordered, we may ship from multiple locations to save transit time in getting your order to you. Therefore, it may not be possible to bundle orders for combined shipping, unless you notify us that you agree to extend shipping times.
Shipping to P.O. Boxes:
We ship to these addresses using United States Postal Service (USPS) unless you request another method (which may increase the shipping cost). Please include your P.O. in addition to the complete mailing address.
Signature Required:
All orders over 9.99 USD will be shipped signature required, as per PayPal’s Protection Policies.
Lost or Damaged Items:
In the rare event that your package is lost or damaged, please proceed according to the following protocol: If the parcel appears to be lost based on the tracking information from the carrier or if it has been more than 15 business days since we shipped the package, please contact us to begin a trace on the shipment.
NOTE:
USPS Loss claims can take 21-60 days for USPS to complete their end of the trace investigation. We cannot begin an insurance claim until USPS deems the package lost.
If the package is visibly damaged upon delivery, (Note: Only open the package in the presence of the carrier). Otherwise, do not attempt to open it, leave the package in as-received condition and contact the carrier within 1 business day to report the damaged package. After contacting the carrier, contact us immediately to begin an insurance claim. Please include your full name, address, phone number, and eBay item number with your notification.
Failure to report loss or damage in a timely manner may result in denial of the claim. You have up to 5 days after receipt of goods to notify us if the item is damaged and/or incorrect. Once an insurance claim is approved, we will replace the item in question or issue a refund for the value of the claim if the items cannot be replaced.
TAX
Sales Tax of 8.4% is assessed to each order shipped to a Washington address as per state law.
