    Description

Please email with any questions. Unposted card decorated with a collage of intricately cut postage stamps and hand painted watercolor. This card has the image of a woman carrying a basket of flowers
, admiring the flower in her other hand. The card itself is marked on the back in red: UNION POSTALE UNIVERSELLE POST CARD. This postcard has an undivided back and was probably made in the early 1900's. I think the stamp collage decoration was a cottage industry in the 1930's and they were made on old unused stock blank postcards. There are a some small foxing spots, slight rounding to corners.
